Prof. Angela Gilmore Joins the David A. Clarke School of Law as Interim Dean at the University of the District of Columbia

Clarke School of Law as Interim Dean, effective July 29, 2024. Gilmore brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having served in academic, practitioner and administrative positions, most recently with the American Bar Association (ABA). “I want to thank all the members of the law school community for their patience and cooperation as we worked through this important decision and planning process. Professor Gilmore provides UDC with an amazing opportunity, and we look forward to supporting and working with her,” said Chief Academic Officer April Massey, Ph.D. Angela Gilmore comes to UDC from the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, where she served as Senior Accreditation Counsel for the past two years. Before that, she was a professor of law and associate dean at North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina from 2011 to 2022. She holds a B.S. from Houghton University and received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
