President Pollard of Oakwood University Delivers Keynote at Jamaican Union Conference Convention

Pollard delivered the keynote address at the Jamaican Union Men’s Ministry Department Men’s Convention hosted at the Portmore Seventh-day Adventist Church. This prestigious event, organized by Dr. Roy Dennis, Men’s Ministries Director for the Jamaican Union Conference, and hosted by Dr. Everett Brown, President of the Conference, saw an impressive turnout of 3,000 men and women. Pollard’s speech, “Appointed or Anointed—A Contrast in Methods and Outcomes,” captivated the audience as he delved into the distinctions between divine calling and mere appointment, and how each affects leadership and results. Adding a significant musical dimension to the event, the 100-voice National Men’s Chorale provided an inspiring performance that resonated deeply with those present. The convention’s success reflected the community’s strong engagement and commitment to spiritual growth and leadership development.
