Morgan State University’s Magnificent Marching Machine to Make Significant Announcement at Homecoming Halftime Performance

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on October 04, 2024 The Magnificent Marching Machine, the high-stepping prolific marching band from Morgan State University, will publicly announce its invitation to perform at one of the world’s most recognized parades this Saturday, October 5, 2024, during what is billed to be a “must-see” halftime performance at Morgan’s Homecoming football game at Hughes Memorial Stadium. Fresh off the heels of an international performance in France—becoming the first HBCU marching band to ever perform at the D-Day Commemoration Parade in Normandy, France, Morgan’s marching ensemble will unveil its milestone invitation to play in what many band aficionados consider to be among the “Mount Rushmores” of parades. The Magnificent Marching Machine’s 10-minute halftime performance promises to deliver a high-energy, electrifying production complete with intricate formations, choreography, skilled musicality and showmanship that embodies the quintessential HBCU marching band experience. Morgan’s Magnificent Marching Machine is no stranger to performing at some of the world’s most iconic venues and parades, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Honda Battle of the Bands, Disneyland Paris in sight of the Magic Kingdom’s legendary Cinderella Castle, on the White House’s South Lawn, and much closer to its Baltimore home, at the Baltimore Raven’s M&T Bank Stadium and the Preakness Stakes “Rider’s Up” traditional kick-off.
