Posted By: Phyllis Caddell on November 18, 2024

The THREADED initiative by PLC and Foot Locker—Leading Education & Economic Development—will expand to 10 cities from January 13 to February 14, 2025. This program is focused on supporting designers of color and independent entrepreneurs, providing 14 exclusive opportunities for those aiming to grow their brands. The application deadline is December 8, 2024.

A five-week accelerator program, conducted as a virtual masterclass, will be led by Industry veteran Dr. D’Wayne Edwards, guest lectures from other industry leaders, and Foot Locker representatives. It is open to aspiring entrepreneurs in the apparel and accessories sector based in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, the DMV area, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and Philadelphia.

Participants will engage in eight virtual sessions designed to enhance their brand, culminating in a final presentation where they can potentially sell their products online at FootLocker.com.

“Our mission is to build a network for entrepreneurs, making business and design education more accessible in communities that drive the industry,” said PLC President Dr. D’Wayne Edwards. “THREADED unites independent creatives passionate about sharing their unique stories with the world.”

Eligibility Requirements:
