The "Reporters Without Borders" Press Freedom Awards was AWESOME!

As a freelance journalist, multimedia professional, and lifelong storyteller, I was deeply honored to be among so many experienced and passionate journalists. I had the privilege of attending the "Reporters Without Borders" Press Freedom Award ceremony—a historic event, marking the first time in its 30-year history that it was held in the United States. The ceremony was hosted by Lulu Garcia-Navarro, Reporters Without Borders Board Member and journalist for The New York Times and CNN. It featured an inspiring keynote by Michel Martin, Emmy-winning journalist and host of NPR's Morning Edition, with a special guest appearance by Aïssa Maïga, acclaimed French actress.
