The Presidency

Posted By: Charles Carter on January 27, 2025 Even when a story is in partnership with your beliefs one must still seek unbiased verification. Field Note: October 2007: The White House I used to watch the Beverly Hillbillies when they first became a television series in the sixties. I watched them until the series ended in the seventies. I still watch them today, but they are only showing re-runs and the year is 2008, They were funny, rich as hell and lived in this big ass mansion. Once, Jed Clampett said he never knew that the second floor of this mansion, was a part of his mansion. He had heard tell of places in the big city where people have houses that have rooms right on top of each other. He believes they call them apartments. The entire time he lived there he believed it was inappropriate for him to go upstairs and knock on his neighbour’s door without being invited. That was considered un-neighbourly. So, for a couple of years he and his family took a bath in a wash basin in the first-floor kitchen. Once, Jed gave Honest John one million dollars towards cleaning up all the smog in California. Honest John’s idea was to get a giant fan, put it in the bottom of the Grand Canyon, turn it on and suck all the smog down into the canyon and then dump dirt on it. Jed loved the idea, but he had always favoured exceptionally different ideas. Honest John told him to make the check out to the Commission Against Smog Hazard (C.A.S.H.). Imagine the White House in Washington with the Clampetts at the helm. The only exception is that Mister Drysdale, the greedy banker, who only cares about the rich oil man’s money, would be president. Jed Clampett would be the vice-president, Jethro Bodine the secretary of state, Granny the White House spokesperson and counsel, and Elly Mae, the Secretary of Foreign Policy. Secretary of State, Jethro Bodine would go buy one of those leather lunch bags like all the businessmen carry, filled with vittles, and then start state stuff. It would be no surprise to find the White House Spokesperson, Granny, having a problem with Vice President Jed Clampett’s title, because she had Secretary of State Jethro Bodine look up the word vice in one of the school dictionaries and became uncomfortable with Jed being president of vice(s). Jed, not being a fool, decided to exchange the ‘v’ for ‘n,’ ultimately changing his title to Nice President. Jed assured the whole cabinet that the change made a whole heap of good sense, as well as advised Secretary of Foreign Policies, Elly Mae, that the best place to locate aliens is Mexico. Now, change John McCain to president, Sarah Palin to vice president, starting to sound the same as the above listed White House Cabinet, Hun? (President Trump has not arrived on scene yet). Sometimes one must revisit/research the past to get a working knowledge of the future and we don’t want that documented history to be faulty, erroneous or misleading. Addendum, January 20, 2025 I cannot put pen to paper and not mention this: Today is the inauguration day for the 47th president of the United States, Donald J. Trump. Because of the freezing temperatures this circus was moved indoors. With the concept, which is documented on the rear of this book applied to this writing, I have to document my personalized view of his inauguration speech and televised observations. Noting that the ring master, I mean President Trump made it clear, during his speech, that we are returning to a country where freedom of speech has, effective today, returned to these lands: When they announced the former presidents and their wives entering the ceremony, former President Obama came in alone. I guess Michelle said, fuck Trump, under any circumstances. Everybody in the ceremony appears to be at least four hundred years old. You know they’re tired of standing up. You could see it on Obama’s face. “What da. . .” When Trump walked in and kissed his wife, he never touched her face. That’s probably because she already told him, in their contract, you better not touch me you. . . Just announced: President Biden just pardoned all of his family members, even those not charged with any crimes, because he knows Trump is aimed at revenge. The news announcer said he pardoned them right before he showed up at this event. The Cardinal was delivering the invocation and everybody closed their eyes in prayer. Trump may have been thinking about a strip joint and Biden opened his eyes because he was getting dizzy. As far as watching this event, unlike an ostrich who hides his head in a hold when trouble arises, I continue to need and want to see what’s going on. I don’t need somebody to tell me he said, I need to see and hear for myself. Noting that, if I were Donald Trump, I wouldn’t vote for myself. Its not about liking him or his Proud Boys, it’s about staying properly informed. They’re swearing in Vice President Vance first, which means he’ll be vice president longer than Trump will be president; only by minutes but, in the real-world minutes can be the difference between life and death. (If this comes to Trump’s attention, I’m sure he’ll generate an executive order to address this injustice). Trump’s speech started with thanking all the former presidents and vice presidents, using their individual names, except former Vice President Mike Pence. There was no mention of Pence. Trump’s already starting to show his disrespect. During his speech he said, when the assassin tried to kill him in the fields of Pennsylvania his life was spared by God and he believes God did this so that he could make America great again. The Republicans stood and applauded. The Democrats remained seated. Biden appeared to go back to sleep. Trump just said, during his speech, the Panama Canal was gifted to Panama and now China is running it and they are mistreating US vessels, they’ve violated our treaty in reference to it, so if anybody can give him a lift to the Panama canal he is going there and take it back, immediately. He also said he’s changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to The Gulf of America and no more numerous sexes, there are only two sexes, male and female, by law. In the same breath, Trump announced that hundreds of those found guilty, under the laws of the United States, for their participation in the January 6 insurrectionist actions would be immediately pardoned. He originally said he would do these pardons on a case-by-case basis but after being sworn in as president he performed a blanket pardon for all involved and those who were still being investigated. Noting that Trump was the accused director of this historical attack on the United States Constitution and capital. Trump talked about numerous other things, which included but not limited to the dismantling of all federal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs. He singlehandedly is going to erase history. He singlehandedly is going to reinstitute a merit based society. (How can one reinstitute something that never was?) The reasoning for the initial institution of the DEI programs was because it was a common knowledge fact that this society was historically structured on a non-merit-based system. Still, the gist of his speech, as perceived by me was, a revenge tainted motivation headed towards foreign and domestic war and politically and personally motivated goals geared to support the rich and satisfy his vengeful agenda. I hope I’m wrong but, I don’t think so. Can anybody see that Trump is the bully in the sandbox and he’s using the United States as his weapon? Trump’s ride-or-die followers are the same type people who, for example, yelled, screamed, and shouted go to war after the United States’ 911 terrorist attack and a week later, after the bullets started flying, our sons dying, and the cost of war appeared began shouting, screaming and protesting to end this senseless war. In President Trump’s delivery remarks at Emancipation Hall, following his inauguration speech, he spoke about the topics they advised him to remove from his first speech. This speech entailed calling his enemies names, denouncing his political opponents, fake news, his reiterated belief that the last election was stolen from him, and basically returning to the unfiltered Trump. (At one point, I started to cry for this country. Had it not been for the fact that I am aware that the solution to Donald Trump is that our response to his actions and inactions must equal his threats, I elected to drop no tears). If you truly believe one is a danger, threat or pompous idiot, the strategy to defeat them is to leave them alone; they’ll destroy themselves. We just have to hope his damage is minimized by the time his goals to be a Supreme Court Justice. (Oh, that’s another episode of The Beverly Hillbillies in motion).
