Cheyney University is introducing the Grow Pennsylvania Tuition Waiver Program
Posted By: James Burrell on April 24, 2025 Cheyney University is proud to participate in the Grow PA Tuition Waiver Program—a powerful initiative that helps out-of-state students pay in-state tuition while supporting Pennsylvania’s workforce in high-demand careers. Eligibility Requirements To be considered for the Grow PA Waiver, you must: File the 2025-26 FAFSA® Be an out-of-state resident Be a first-year student enrolling for the 2025-26 academic year Have a minimum 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) Enroll full-time and in-person in an approved program at Cheyney University Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) for federal financial aid Not hold a bachelor’s degree Sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN) agreeing to repay the waiver (plus interest) if the work/residency requirement is not met Award Details Receive in-state tuition for up to 4 academic years Note: Out-of-state fees still apply and are not covered by the waiver Work & Residency Commitment After graduation, you must: Live and work in Pennsylvania in an in-demand occupation Serve one year for each year you received the waiver (up to 4 years) ⚠️ Important: If you don’t meet the work or degree requirements, you will be required to repay the waiver.
