Oakwood University Nursing Students Celebrate Nurses Week 2025
|
Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on May 23, 2025 During Nurses' Week this year, a group of enthusiastic nursing students from the Department of Nursing visited Huntsville Hospital to celebrate the vital role of nurses in healthcare. Chaperoned by Dr. Karen Lynch-Frater (Chair) and Dr. Erhyvwukorotu Kollie, the students set up an engaging information booth. The booth was laden with various Oakwood items, including caps, t-shirts, pens, bags, brochures, program details, and personalized insights about the university's nursing program. The students proudly represented the department, interacting with hospital staff and visitors, fostering connections, and showcasing the university's commitment to cultivating the next generation of compassionate, skilled nurses. Lynch-Frater proudly relays that interest cards yielded several inquiries, which the department is following up on. Join us in congratulating the Department of Nursing on their hard work and dedication to excellence in healthcare!
