Maxim’s Covergirl Contestant: Rita Melissha

Posted By: Lenell Johnson on July 07, 2025 Rising model Rita Melissha who has recently been a top contestant for Maxim’s Covergirl competition for a cash prize. Here is her story. At a young age Rita’s mother had her involved with pageants, and runway fashion shows. There was one in particular that required her to choose between dancing, singing, or playing the saxophone. At first her mother wanted her to select dancing, but Rita found a love for the saxophone. Later at the pageant she performed “I Just Called To Say I Love You” by Stevie Wonder, and won first runner-up! Later in Rita’s teen years she has modeled in fashion shows. At the age of 18, she had an interview with Ebony Magazine, but fell ill, and had to move back to North Carolina, which put a halt to her modeling aspirations. That deterred her from pursuing her modeling career for quite some time. In 2023 she began to relive the part of a dream she always had, and began to model fashion on Social media. Which led her to enter two major competitions. In 2024, she became a semi-finalist in the FabOver40 contest, and in January 2025, she entered the Maxim Covergirl competition, where she is currently ranked #1 for Hot Girl Summer Barbados, and have earlier attained the 9th stage winner position for Elegance. Entering the competition allowed her to have the chance to learn more about posing, and how to bring out uniqueness, style, character in whatever you are wearing to learn how to express herself more. Both competitions allow’s her a chance to help women all around the world with the fight of Breast Cancer as well. Please consider participating by voting. Every vote helps.
