Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on September 08, 2025

LeMoyne-Owen College is bringing together leaders in technology, business, education, and the arts for a day of innovation, learning, and collaboration at the college’s historic South Memphis campus.

Gerald Keys, Founder and CEO of Prompt Haus LLC and Chief Arts and Music Officer of The Ludacris Foundation, will deliver this year’s keynote address at Next in Tech: Cybersecurity + AI Conference on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Known for his work at the intersection of creativity, technology, and community empowerment, Keys will inspire attendees to see new possibilities in the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

“Gerald Keys embodies the kind of innovative, cross-industry thinking that our students and community need to see,” said Kimberly Bailey, Chief Information Officer at LeMoyne-Owen College. “We are proud to bring him and such an impressive roster of speakers to Memphis for conversations that will shape the future of tech and education.”

In addition to Keys’ keynote, the conference will include dynamic sessions and panels led by innovators across multiple sectors, including Darrell Booker, Microsoft; Rosalind Withers, Withers Collection Museum & Gallery; Camelle Logan, Smart AI Communities; and Raven Simelton, TEKsystems.

Keys is slated to speak at 9:15 after opening remarks by Dr. Christopher B. Davis, president of LeMoyne-Owen College.

The conference will conclude with a hackathon pitch competition, judged by leaders in the tech industry.
