Since 1990, he has led The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church through significant growth and transformation. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Rev. Dr. Flippin, Sr. earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Business Administration from Fisk University. He graduated from Candler School of Theology at Emory University (Atlanta, GA) with a Master of Divinity degree, where he was recognized as a Benjamin E. Mays Fellow and received a Fund for Theological Education scholarship. Rev. Dr. Flippin, Sr. received his Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary (Chicago, Illinois). He is a certified Life Transformational and Leadership Coach Trainer. More information about Rev.
