PLC Detroit Partners with Lace Up Detroit for Sneaker Drive: Providing Laces for Change

This initiative seeks to collect over 100 pairs of new sneakers for families in need throughout Detroit. At the heart of this initiative is Brock Mullen, PLC’s Program Manager for Industry Credentials Education. Driven by a passion for philanthropy and a commitment to community upliftment, Mullen emphasizes that this sneaker drive is about more than just footwear. “We're not just about creating sneakers; we're committed to uplifting our community,” he explains. “This sneaker drive is an opportunity to provide essential support and inspire hope for those in need. I encourage everyone to join us in making a meaningful impact.” The call to action is clear: the community is invited to donate new sneakers at partner retailers, including Foot Locker, Social Status, Two|18, and Xhibition. Each retail partner will serve as a designated collection point, creating accessible avenues for individuals to contribute. The importance of this sneaker drive extends beyond simply providing shoes.
