As we go into this year’s Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras celebrations, we would like to recognize Mardi Gras royalty gracing the Dillard University campus. This past week, to kickoff the Mardi Gras celebration, we were joined by this year’s King and Queen of Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club - Rodney Mason Jr. and Kristen Bonds Mason. They both were given proclamations from Dillard University, recognizing both of their contributions to the New Orleans community. A pivotal part of Zulu are the Zulu Tramps. Many of them joined the Zulu royalty for their campus visit. We would like to especially recognize the Dillard Alumnus, Bryson Edinburgh’13, who was among the Tramps. We hope that you all have a fun and safe Mardi Gras season, and enjoy the historic culture that makes New Orleans such an amazing city! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
