This was the Bears' third consecutive conference victory secured in the final seconds, all on the road, solidifying their status as the "Cardiac Bears" within the HBCU basketball community. The victory improves Morgan State's MEAC record to 4-2 and their overall record to 8-13.

The game was a tale of two halves, as the Bears jumped out to a 33-25 lead before the Spartans mounted a furious comeback, outscoring Morgan State 17-3 in the final six minutes of the first half to take a 42-36 advantage into the break.

Key Takeaway: The Bears' resilience and ability to close out close games on the road have become a hallmark of their season, a testament to their grit and determination.

The Spartans extended their lead to double digits on three separate occasions in the second half, but the Bears refused to be deterred.

With time winding down, Alfred Worrell Jr. stepped up and knocked down the game-winning jumper with just 2 seconds remaining, capping off his impressive 33-point performance.
