HBCU Stars Shine Bright Despite Weather Delay in MEAC Showdown

ORANGEBURG, SC - The highly anticipated MEAC basketball doubleheader between South Carolina State and North Carolina Central was unfortunately postponed due to inclement weather this past Saturday, January 31st. While the game has been rescheduled, the anticipation and excitement surrounding this matchup remains high within the HBCU community.

Both South Carolina State and North Carolina Central have emerged as powerhouses in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), a Division I conference composed primarily of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The Bulldogs of SC State and the Eagles of NC Central have consistently fielded talented rosters and competitive programs, making this a must-see event for HBCU basketball fans.

The Bulldogs, led by head coach Murray Garvin, have enjoyed a strong start to the season, posting a 10-9 record overall and a 5-2 mark in MEAC play.
