Central State Women's Basketball Dominates at Home, Earns Third Straight Win Over Savannah State

WILBERFORCE, Ohio — The Central State University women's basketball team continued its impressive home court dominance, securing its third consecutive victory at Beacom/Lewis Gym with a 63-52 win over Savannah State University on Wednesday evening.

The Marauders have been a force to be reckoned with on their home floor this season, showcasing the tenacity and skill that has made them a powerhouse within the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). Leading the charge for the Marauders was senior guard Jasmine Smith, who poured in a game-high 17 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Alongside Smith, sophomore forward Megan Getz made her presence felt on both ends of the floor, contributing a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

For Savannah State, senior guard Kenyata Hendrix led the way with 16 points, but the Tigers struggled to find a consistent offensive rhythm against the stifling Central State defense.
