MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Central State University women's basketball team showcased the heart and resilience that HBCU student-athletes are known for, grinding out a hard-fought 47-43 road victory over LeMoyne-Owen College in a key Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) matchup.

Playing on the road against a conference opponent, the Marauders relied on stifling defense, superior depth, and timely shot-making to secure the narrow win inside Bruce Hall/Johnson Gymnasium. This victory not only keeps Central State in the hunt for the SIAC title, but it also serves as a testament to the competitive spirit and determination that typifies HBCU athletics.
