VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Eagles' men's and women's track and field teams recently demonstrated their exceptional talent and dedication at the Pre-National Indoor Meet, hosted by Norfolk State University at the Virginia Beach Sports Center on February 13-14. This event served as the final tune-up for the Eagles before the highly anticipated 2026 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Championships, and the NCCU athletes did not disappoint.

Leading the way for the NCCU Eagles was Kimberly Key-White, who delivered a remarkable performance in the women's Division I (DI) 800-meter run. Key-White's time of 2:06.12 not only secured her a first-place finish but also showcased the impressive depth and talent of HBCU student-athletes. Additionally, the NCCU women's Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team made a strong statement, crossing the finish line with a time of 11:54.64 to claim the top spot.
