Morehouse Alum Elected as Executive Director of NBA Players Association

ATLANTA, GA - The Morehouse College community is beaming with pride as one of its own, David Kelly, has been elected as the new Executive Director of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), the labor union representing NBA players worldwide.

Kelly, a 1996 graduate of Morehouse, will officially assume the role following the NBPA's annual summer meeting of the Board of Player Representatives, succeeding Andre Iguodala whose term is expiring in July.

Prior to joining the NBPA, Kelly spent over a decade with the Golden State Warriors, where he played a pivotal role in negotiating major sponsorship deals, managing the salary cap, overseeing the construction of the Chase Center, and launching Golden State Entertainment.

Kelly earned his bachelor's degree from the prestigious Morehouse College before completing his law degree at the University of Illinois.
