Delaware State University's Louise Juitt (145 lbs.), Icart Galumette (117 lbs.), and Allen University's Isis Severe (131 lbs.) each finished in the top three in their respective weight classes, earning a place at the first-ever NCAA Women's Wrestling National Championships on March 6-7. Though she fell short of the gold medal, falling to Presbyterian's Madeline Kubicki in the championship bout, Juitt's performance was a remarkable feat for the young program. Galumette and Severe Earn Semifinal BerthsIcart Galumette of Delaware State earned a first-round bye, then dominated Morgan Layman of Frostburg State with a technical fall (11-0) in the quarterfinals. She lost in a technical fall to Presbyterian's Jenna Anderson in the semifinals.
