FRANKFORT, Ky. - After a decade of guiding the Kentucky State University Thorobreds basketball team, Head Coach Jamaal Jackson will be transitioning to a new role within the athletic department as Associate Athletics Director, the university announced.

Jackson's tenure as head coach spanned 10 seasons, during which he led the Thorobreds through the rigors of HBCU and NCAA Division II competition. Though his final game ended in an 81-79 loss to Savannah State in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Tournament, Jackson's impact on the program extends far beyond the scoreboard.
