MORROW, Ga. β€” The Miles College Golden Bears have been a force to be reckoned with all season, and they continued their dominant run with a convincing victory over the Savannah State Tigers in the opening round of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championship Tournament.

The Golden Bears, who have been a standout program in the HBCU community, showcased their offensive firepower and defensive tenacity to overcome a tough Savannah State squad. Led by the dynamic duo of Terrell Kennedy and Kameron Stutts, Miles College demonstrated why they are considered one of the top contenders for the SIAC title.

Key Takeaway: The Miles College Golden Bears, a prominent HBCU program, have proven their dominance in the SIAC tournament, setting the stage for a deep run and a potential championship victory.

The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams showcasing their offensive prowess. However, the Golden Bears' relentless defense and timely scoring runs proved to be the difference-maker.

Terrell Kennedy led the way with a stellar performance, scoring 23 points and grabbing 8 rebounds, while Kameron Stutts added 18 points and 6 assists to the winning effort.

"We knew we had to come out and play our best basketball to get past Savannah State," said Head Coach Damon Wilson. "Our guys stepped up and executed the game plan perfectly. We're excited to move on to the semifinals and continue our quest for the SIAC championship."

The victory propels the Golden Bears to the SIAC semifinals, where they will face the winner of the Albany State Golden Rams and Tuskegee Golden Tigers matchup. This deep postseason run is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Miles College basketball program, which has consistently been a powerhouse in the HBCU community.
