Norfolk State junior Maddy Morris has been named the MEAC Softball Player of the Week. Morris, a key contributor to the Spartans' softball program, has continued to showcase her offensive prowess, delivering clutch hits and run-scoring performances that have propelled her team forward.

Key Takeaway: Maddy Morris' recognition as the MEAC Player of the Week is a testament to the depth of talent within HBCU softball programs. Her consistent performance and leadership on the field serve as an inspiration to her teammates and the broader HBCU community.

Teammate Samantha Stevenson Honored as MEAC Rookie of the Week

Alongside Maddy Morris, Samantha Stevenson, also from Norfolk State, has been named the MEAC Softball Rookie of the Week.

As a newcomer to the Spartans' roster, Stevenson has quickly made a name for herself, showcasing her skills and contributing to the team's success.

Morgan State's Millie Cousins Recognized as MEAC Pitcher of the Week

In addition to the individual player honors, Morgan State's Millie Cousins has been recognized as the MEAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. Cousins' dominant performances on the mound have been instrumental in the Bears' recent victories, highlighting the depth of pitching talent within the conference.

"These student-athletes are shining examples of the incredible talent and dedication found within HBCU softball programs," said a spokesperson for HBCUConnect.com.
