The announcement was made Tuesday evening during the fourth annual MEAC BBT Awards presented by Wells Fargo at Chrysler Hall. Thomas, a native of Washington, D.C., had a standout season for the Howard Bison, leading the team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks. She averaged 18.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game, helping guide Howard to a 20-10 overall record and 14-4 conference mark. This honor marks the second time in her illustrious career that Thomas has been named MEAC Player of the Year, having also earned the award in 2024.
