Hymnals VS Hip Gospel

Posted By: JaLeesa Bone on July 03, 2006 What is up with todays society and how they see the new Hip Gospel. I love it and others do too. I think many elders are stuck in there old bound ways and just think that the future church is trying to take over with our fast paced beats, expessions towards the music, and how we react. I love hip gospel and if it wasn't for it I probably wouldn't listen to the radio on Sunday mornings. I just wish that the older church crew would understand what it takes to draw a young crowd to serving the Lord. I agree. There are many different ways to praise God through song and no one way is any more right than others. True praise comes from the heart and what comes from the young heart may be different than what comes from the older one.

I think too many old head Christians want to keep Christ in a box as if our generation is suppose to be a clone of thier generation.....God made each and every person different, so I believe that we all possess different talents, abilities, desires, and skills.........if we are using them for the Lord then back up grandpa and let me get my praise on!
