Three stellar performers from across the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference earned recognition this week as the league announced its latest softball honors on Monday, March 23, 2026, from Norfolk, Virginia.

Howard University senior Maryn Jordan captured MEAC Softball Player of the Week honors, highlighting another impressive performance for the Bison. Jordan's recognition marks a significant achievement for the veteran player as Howard continues its conference campaign.

Key Takeaway: Three MEAC institutions—Howard, South Carolina State, and Norfolk State—shared the conference's weekly softball honors, showcasing the depth of talent across the league.

Meanwhile, South Carolina State's Lanasia Sanders earned her place in the spotlight by claiming Rookie of the Week honors. The freshman standout's performance demonstrates the promising future ahead for the Lady Bulldogs' softball program as Sanders continues to make her mark at the collegiate level.

Rounding out this week's honorees, Norfolk State's Maddy Morris was recognized as Pitcher of the Week for her work in the circle for the Spartans.

Morris's dominant pitching performance helped solidify Norfolk State's presence among the conference's elite programs.
