Delaware State University Hosts Third Annual Women's Conference, "Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future"

Dover, DE -- March 30, 2026 -- Delaware State University's Department of Human Services proudly hosted its third annual Women's Conference, Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future, bringing together students, faculty, and community leaders for a day of empowerment, dialogue, and inspiration.

Held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center, the conference convened students, educators, and industry leaders for powerful conversations on leadership, equity, and global impact.



The event created space for meaningful dialogue, inspiration, and actionable change in addressing the challenges facing women in leadership roles.

Keynote Speaker Highlight

The conference featured keynote speaker Yvonne Deadwyler, President & CEO of the New Castle County Chambers of Commerce, who shared insights on women's leadership and creating sustainable change in communities and organizations.

The program included intergenerational panel discussions that brought together women from various stages of their careers, fostering mentorship opportunities and knowledge sharing across different professional experiences and perspectives.

Delaware State University continues to demonstrate its commitment to elevating the next generation of women leaders through initiatives like this annual conference.
