South Carolina State University will welcome track and field athletes to campus this Saturday for a special day of competition that honors an important legacy in the HBCU community.

The 3rd Annual Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Track Classic is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on April 18 at the Lorry H. Dawkins Track Facility on SC State's campus in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The event will showcase the Bulldogs' men's and women's track and field programs as they compete on their home turf.

Event Details: The 3rd Annual Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Track Classic takes place Saturday, April 18, at 9:30 a.m. at the Lorry H. Dawkins Track Facility in Orangeburg, SC.

The meet represents an opportunity for SC State's track and field athletes to compete in front of their home fans while participating in an event that carries deep significance for the university community.

Named in honor of Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, the classic has become an annual tradition that brings together athletes in a celebration of athletic excellence and community remembrance.

As the host institution, South Carolina State will look to leverage the home-field advantage at the Lorry H. Dawkins Track Facility, a venue that has witnessed countless memorable performances from Bulldog athletes over the years. Both the men's and women's track and field teams will be in action throughout the day's events.

This marks the third consecutive year that SC State has organized this classic, demonstrating the university's commitment to maintaining this important annual tradition. The meet provides valuable competitive opportunities for HBCU student-athletes as they continue their spring season campaigns.

Track and field fans and supporters of SC State athletics are encouraged to come out and support the Bulldogs as they compete in this meaningful event on Saturday morning.
