Posted By: Reginald Claremont on May 28, 2026 Montgomery Public Schools (MPS), in partnership with Alabama State University’s Preventing School Violence (PSV) initiative, will host the MPS Security Job Fair on Wednesday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome on the campus of Alabama State University. The event will provide individuals interested in school safety and security careers with the opportunity to explore full-time employment opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year. Candidates attending the job fair should possess security-related experience, strong communication skills and a valid Alabama driver license with an insurable driving record. Responsibilities for the positions include monitoring school grounds, assisting with campus safety and traffic control, responding to incidents and fostering positive relationships with students, families and visitors. Background checks and fingerprinting are required by law. The event is hosted by Alabama State University Preventing School Violence (PSV), which works collaboratively with community and educational partners to promote safer school environments and violence prevention initiatives.
