Timed alongside a Juneteenth-aligned campaign, the song reflects on today’s political and cultural climate through a lens of history, accountability, and collective action. Rooted in conscious, culturally grounded storytelling and paired with visual references to Leimert Park and KJLH Radio, the release positions Benét in a reflective, socially aware space while staying true to the warmth and sophistication that have defined his career in contemporary R&B. A Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter known for blending classic soul influences with modern R&B, Eric Benét first emerged with his family group Benét before launching a celebrated solo career with albums including True to Myself and A Day in the Life. Beyond music, he remains deeply involved in philanthropic efforts supporting education, anti-trafficking advocacy, and underserved communities worldwide.
