Posted By: Tanisha Grant on July 15, 2026 CowBoy David Tubbs David Tubbs is an actor, philanthropist, and creative storyteller who is passionate about using the arts to inspire and connect with others. Through acting, community involvement, and public speaking, he continues to build a career centered on authenticity, perseverance, and service. Born on October 31, 1990, in Youngstown, Ohio, David grew up in Washington, D.C., where he discovered his passion for performing. He currently attends Prince George's Community College, where he is studying Performing Arts and continues to develop his skills in theater, film, and television. David's first acting experience was in theater at the Soul Factory, where he portrayed a runaway slave. His passion for acting soon led him to the big screen. His first feature film was the Academy Award-winning Lincoln (2012), directed by Steven Spielberg, where he portrayed a Union soldier riding horseback. That opportunity launched his journey in the entertainment industry. Since then, David has continued to build an impressive body of work. He has appeared in national commercials for T-Mobile and Ford, several short films, and feature films. In 2025, he portrayed a YouTuber in the feature film The Perfect Family. He also appeared in The Available Wife, produced by Tressa Azarel Smallwood, further expanding his experience in film. On stage, David continues to shine. He was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in "Are You There?" at Prince George's Community College, recognizing his talent and commitment to the performing arts. He has also served as Deck Chief for the college's production of Our Town, demonstrating leadership behind the scenes as well as on stage. Beyond acting, David is passionate about encouraging others to pursue their dreams. His journey—from overcoming personal challenges to earning opportunities in theater and film—has inspired him to use his platform to promote perseverance, compassion, forgiveness, and personal growth. He believes storytelling has the power to change lives and bring people together. Whether performing on stage, appearing on screen, or serving his community, David continues to pursue excellence. With determination, creativity, and a strong work ethic, he is committed to making a lasting impact in the entertainment industry while inspiring others to follow their dreams.
