Help Miya Stay in School and Secure Housing

Help Miya Stay in School and Secure Housing
Posted By: miya D on July 30, 2026

My name is Miya, and I am a 19-year-old student at Morgan State University, currently entering my junior year as a psychology major. For the past two years, I have worked full-time while attending school full-time, and before that, I balanced two jobs throughout high school. My dream has always been to finish my education, build a stable career helping others, and create a better future for myself. Despite my hard work and dedication, life took an unexpected turn, and I am now facing homelessness. I have exhausted all of my savings, and the reality of not having a place to call home has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life. The uncertainty and stress have affected me deeply, and there are days I struggle to sleep because I worry about my future.

My minimal salary is not enough to cover my educational expenses, and I fear that I may not be able to continue my studies. The costs of tuition and housing have become overwhelming, and managing everything on my own has been incredibly challenging. I am starting this fundraiser to ask for help in covering my remaining tuition and housing expenses so I can stay in school and work toward getting back on my feet. As difficult as it is for me to ask for help, I know I can't get through this alone. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me. I will always be grateful for every person who chooses to help me during this difficult time.
