In this episode of Behind the Canvas, we sit down with Prairie View A&M University former student, choreographer, and artistic director Harrison Guy as he prepares to bring Dear Prairie View to the stage. From his early journey with PVAMU’s Classic Dance Ensemble to founding Urban Souls Dance Company, Harrison has built a career using movement and storytelling to celebrate Black culture, history, and community. As Prairie View A&M University celebrates 150 years, Harrison returns with Dear Prairie View—a multidisciplinary production at Houston’s Wortham Theater Center honoring the people, resilience, and legacy of The Hill.
