This dynamic has left Trump sitting in limbo more than once, and Greenland has now become the second major disappointment. The first rupture came when Trump called on NATO to assist in the attack on Iran in defense of Israel. According to EU officials, Trump launched the operation without informing or consulting them beforehand, a move that violated the alliance’s expectations of coordination and transparency.
