Hampton Pirates Take Over The Harbor Part II - Plan to Join Us!
Posted By: Cata Rizzle on September 27, 2026 Hampton Alumni Set to “Take Over the Harbor” at National Harbor on October 2Hampton University alumni from across generations are coming together for an evening of networking, reconnecting and celebration during “Pirates Take Over the Harbor – Part II” on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Presented by the Prince George’s County Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association, the event is built around a simple idea: three locations, one Hampton and the same Pirate pride. Rather than placing everyone in a single venue, organizers are creating three distinct experiences throughout National Harbor, giving alumni the opportunity to connect with fellow Pirates in an atmosphere tailored to different graduating generations and social experiences. Three Locations, One Hampton FamilyAlumni from the Class of 1960 through 1999 are invited to gather at Rosa Mexicano, located at 153 Waterfront Street. The setting is designed around “legacy, leadership and lifetime connections,” with signature cocktails, gourmet bites and plenty of opportunity for conversation. Hampton alumni from the Class of 2000 through 2026 will gather at The Walrus Oyster & Ale House, located at 152 Waterfront Street. The venue offers craft drinks, fresh seafood and a lively atmosphere centered around the theme, “Same Spirit. A third option, Mix and Mingle, will take place at artstination the arts gallery, located at 156 Waterfront Street. That experience will bring together art, music and community for alumni and guests who want to continue the celebration in a creative social environment. More Than a Night OutThe event is designed to be more than a traditional alumni gathering. Organizers are encouraging attendees to use the evening to reconnect with old friends, establish new professional and personal connections and celebrate the shared Hampton experience. From longtime alumni to recent graduates, the event reinforces one of the enduring strengths of the HBCU experience: relationships that often continue long after graduation. The event’s message captures that spirit:
And for Hampton alumni, the standard continues. Event Details
