Altruistic Urgency

I am an aspiring writer but my true passion is activism. It has been instilled in me since I could talk. I have always been a "take nothing from no one" type of person. I only wish more people could sit next to me in this instead of applaud me from afar. Activist. President. Leader- My three Characteristics that I would call myself. But most recently, a good friend of mine, Andrea Carter, the creator of UPPITY NEGRO, called me Altruistic. She told me to look it up, because this is what I am, much like her. Altruistic- Unselfish concern for the welfare of others; selflessness. The title of my blog is Altruistic Urgency. It is the call for more people of this caliber. The urgency to create more selflessness people, who care about the welfare of others. Such as humanitarians, human activists, Nobel-prize winners, etc. Who am I? Tamisha Jackson. Mitchi. Wacko Jacko. T.Jack . Welcome to My World. I am about nothing but greatness and enthusiasm of others. I promote black awareness and love, the detriment of uncertain youth and self-hate and most importantly activism amongst the youth. I am 18 years old and I fear for my generation. At times I feel that we are powerful and innovative beings who rebel against elders, but, ultimately we are money hungry, selfish, uneducated and educated fools. My dream is that the youth will again take over this nation. We will charge this nation with storm. The youth did it before. The 1960's boycotts and sit-ins were started by college students. The 1970's Women's Liberation, Black Power Movement, Gay Liberation were all jumpstarted by the youth. Why can't we do this again. There is so much to fight for in this day of age. But my generation does not see this, we are blinded by the steps to golddiggerosity and the "finest things in life" without the finest minds. Black Awareness. White Guilt. Natural Beauty. Genocide. War. Money in Education. Oil. Human Trafficking. Health Care. Insurance. Welcome to My World, this Altruistic World. We are in a state of Emergency. Altruistic Urgency.
