Part III of Series, THE FULFILLED SINGLE

Part III of Series, THE FULFILLED SINGLE
Posted By: WILLIAM W. HEMMANS III on July 18, 2006

As a fulfilled single you completely understand two significant things.
First, that this is a time to enjoy your service to God and others; which can only be achieved when you understand your purpose. Secondly, self-control is a mark of growth and success and is only achieved when you faithfully preside over your passions! To be fulfilled is to be made full. If you are full there is no place for an empty feeling.

A fulfilled single understands who he or she is in light of and because of God; and in spite of their past.

The personal recognition of who you are is not a revelation that comes overnight. Although it can appear that it was manifested "suddenly," it really was not. Refinement is a process that occurs over time, yet, time is not without a companion in this process; there must also be authentic self-assessment. There comes a defining moment when you have to see yourself as the frustrated, foolish individual that you are. Once you experience this self-actualization, it then opens the door of your heart for genuine change.
There is no simple solution to becoming fulfilled because individual are vast and varied. However there are three basic things that you can do:

* First, fall in love with yourself.

People that unconditionally love themselves are happy people and possess the ability to unconditionally love someone else. Once you've fallen in love with you, you can more easily fill your life with the things you love--like a meaningful devotional life, healthy church life, quality family time, gratifying employment, good friends, and rewarding leisure pursuits.

*Secondly, learn you! It is critical that you gain knowledge of who you are, what you want, the mistakes you've made and your spiritual, emotional, mental and professional motives. The most important thing you can lean about yourself is who you really are (the sum total of all that you are).

*Finally you should accept and love yourself for who you really are. Embrace the reality of your circumstances. Set goals and establish objectives in all realms of life and begin to focus on working on you!

FULFILLED SINGLES ARE THOSE THAT HAVE SHIFTED THEIR FOCUS FROM FINDING A PARTNER TO BECOMING A MORE FULFILLED INDIVIDUAL. ONLY WHEN YOU BECOME A FULFILLED SINGLE PERSON ARE YOU POSTURED FOR A SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIP.

*By the way, remember how I have encouraged Your own perspectives. I disagree with this last part. Hint: Ruth, Rahab, Saul/Paul, I say this fits many but not all and according to the person, circumstances time etc. But I could be wrong. *
