Can you believe it???

Posted By: Octavia Ingram on July 21, 2006 It seems like just yesterday, I was entering my Senior Year of high school. There were so many things that had gone on the summer before, that it was truly hard realizing that it was finally here. I started the year as a Senior by losing a friend three weeks before the first day. Talk about a way to start something, with a bang.( I'll never forget you Aaris....) Anyways, ...... Senior year seemed pretty nice. I only went to school for three hours. I had a great internship at the hospital, and cheerleading was going great. Yeah seems like only yesterday I tell ya. First days, next weeks, then months, and now a year has past from something that seemed like just yesterday. I can't believe it. It's crazy to me because this year I don't know what to expect. I truly am living day by day. I mean last year when I was going into my Senior year, I had everything planned out. I knew and already had planned for everything. I had my place, my spot, my friends, and my reputation. Cheerleading, track, drill team, Senior, like a BOSS!!! And now Poof!!! It's like I'm starting all over. I'm back at the bottom of the stack once again. I went from running things to now being under things. But what makes things so hard and gives me the most anxiety though, is that I'm going into something new pretty much all by myself. I'm turning a new page and starting a brand new chapter, but this time there's no guide. It's pretty much me for myself. All my friends and all the familiar faces are just memories now. So here I go, can you believe it, a Freshmen in college. What should I expect? Who will I hang with? How will the classes be? How can I better prepare myself? What should I get involved with? What groups? What organizations? What Clubs? Better yet what will I wear???(lol) Any suggestions...... Yea I feel ya! I cant believe that a whole year has really gone by! And at times the plans I once had then seem so distant also! But Im glad the way things workd out!
