Was I Sabotaged?

Posted By: Emily Johnson on April 25, 2005 Last semester, my roommate and I had some serious issues. This semester is much better. However, something bad happened a couple of weeks ago. My roommate and I were the only two left in the suite. She was in a rush to go to the club one night. I went in the bathroom to take a shower, it was a wreck in there. I left my bath rag in there from earlier that day. I got in the shower to bathe and time I started washing... all of a sudden I was on fire!!! My roommate used my bath rag to clean up something with Lysol! I could smell it. It was three in the morning so I couldn't actually scream and get help. So I had to go to the hospital. I called my mom and was telling her about it while my roommate was asleep. When she heard me talking about what happened, she had the "what did I do" face. She didn't have the decency to tell me she used it for my sake so I wouldn't get hurt. When she saw me again, she couldn't look at me or speak to me. I can't ask her about it because someone is at her side 24/7 now. Was I sabotaged because of last year's mishaps or did she really not realize what harm she caused to me... Ohhh girl I do not know that is something serious. I hope nobody would ever try to do that to someone. That is horrible thing to do. I don't care how much you might dislike someone but if they would take it that far, there is something wrong with them. Well I hope you are feeling better and it didn't cause any serious damage.

Sorry, Sweetie! I hope you are feeling better. I really don't think she did that on purpose. I'm like the other young lady that said she probably just wiped up something in a hurry and didn't tell you. I'm sure she had no intention of you getting hurt. Most importantly, I'm sure she is feeling really bad about the whole thing. I just taught about this in Sunday school. Remember when Peter denied Jesus 3 times? Well, after the resurrection and Jesus appeared to the disciples, one night after having dinner he asked Peter 3 times if he loved Him. One of my commentaries talk about the fact that Peter had to already feel awkward at dinner because of his denial of Christ. He must have been wondering when Jesus would bring it up. I asked my children in the classroom if they had ever done something and had to sit in the same room with the person they had wronged. She probably prays that you won't bring it up. I really don't think she meant to hurt you. I am still friends with my roommate from college and I've been out for over 15 years now. Forgive her. Both of you will feel better.
