Okay, where was I...?

Posted By: Daniel Moss on April 25, 2005 I haven't blogged in a while. I've been in DC for the past 3 days at NAFEO's annual conference. Look for audio on the site. Met a lot of the right people. We have much work to do in continuing to promote our HBCUs. Since last I wrote, I've also been in Daytona Beach, Fl covering Black College Reunion 2005. For those who don't know, this is also where BET films their annual SPRING BLING celebration. We finally got to meet many of the BET staff we've been in contact with for a while now. Everyone loves us. ;-) We love them too. Me and my crew took the fellas from the cast of College Hill out for "slices" (that's city talk for "pizza"). Nafiys, Jon and Israel are like old friends now, hahaha. As a matter of fact, Jon just sent me an email containing some of his research he's conducted on "Hybrid Tomatoes" - smart dude. They're all very interesting and all have many layers. I spoke with Omarosa Stallworth-Manigault, known by most people by her first name, simply Omarosa (www.Omarosa.com), from the first season of NBC's hit reality show "The Apprentice". She's an amazing woman with a lot of interesting things to say. She was glad to give HBCUConnect.com an interview and assured me that she'd personally complete her member profile and get us some photos of her while in college (Central State AND Howard University). Don't be fooled SHE IS ONE OF THE WARMEST PEOPLE YOU'LL MEET! Check for the up coming interview. I'll be speaking with Hampton University alumnus and popular comedienne Wanda Sykes this week. She's been very busy, but gave us some time, so I look forward to that. She has a new movie coming out, you can visit www.WandaSykes.com for details. Tons of other things happening. Don't forget to sign up for the cruise, I'll see you in October. Somebody let me know what you're doing to get in shape for the cruise?
