HBCU Campaign Needed!

HBCU Campaign Needed!

Keep our Legacy Alive! Speak up, and make your voices heard!

Concerned alumni, parents, students and supporters of HBCUs must let the
staff of the White House Initiative (WHI) on HBCUs and the White House know that we appreciate the work they are doing and we are and will continue to be strong advocates. The White House and experts realizes the keys to keeping a college open; growing and educating people are to have a high percentage of alumni and parents involved with the alma mater

In keeping with the idea that "the pen is mightier than the sword", I am urging you to take a moment of your time to send an e-mail of appreciation for the work of the WHI on HBCUs. The statistics indicate that in the 1930's, we had 235 HBCUs; today we have slightly over 100. If current trends continue, we are at risk of losing many more of these national treasures.

Attached is the e-mail that I sent, for your information. You may forward your e-mails to:

Charles.Greene@ed.gov
reshone.moore@ed.gov
WHI-HBCU@ed.gov

Thanks!
