Hampton, Va. – Hampton University will host World AIDS Day events starting Tuesday, Nov. 28 through Friday, Dec. 1 in an effort to raise awareness of the AIDS/HIV epidemic. Brown will speak at 7 p.m. in the Student Center Atrium and the event is free and open to the public. Brown, a 22-year-old former high school athlete was diagnosed with HIV months after her 19th birthday. Brown has moved both live and television audiences around the U.S. with her compelling story.
