The Stench of Love
|
Posted By: Vykesha S. on December 07, 2006 As I sit here thinking, The stench of what we once had Blows by Why? I don't know Your stench is not one That I'd like to smell At this point in my life I mean, There was one point when I couldn't keep your fragrance Out of my senses and You were all I wanted to inhale and I was all you wanted to inhale and My emotional fragrance was so strong On you too, but We both know that any strong fragrance Soon Wears down only to become A stench in the shadows I mean, You left me no choice but to make your fragrance a stench, Because the effort I put forth to, Keep us fresh, Was pointless Apparently your fragrance was Leaving its mark on someone else So Therefore in my world You became a stench A smell worse than that of a Busted sewage pipe Why sewage? Because I was used and wasted The unpleasant scent Of my hurt and pain is So embarrassing that I am afraid to let a new fragrance come in to Cover up and eventually Vanquish your stench The stench of our past love Makes my emotions turn and My heart gag Every time it is inhaled I can try as much as I want to Cover up your stench, but It still remains, and The only way to remover Such a smell Is to completely remove the source So The question at hand is Since you are the source of such a Horrible stench Why is it so hard for me to completely Remove you from my life Its like, Nostrils of my heart And Although I've covered Your stench up with a new fragrance Every once in a while, A cool breeze walks by and The fragrance of you Is left behind But… It only stays momentarily because Every sense in me is Reminded of how much Pain your fragrance caused And Maybe that is why your stench remains Implanted in my Emotional senses… Your Stench: A constant reminder of where I've been, and where I'll never return.
