Posted By: Amber Wright on December 14, 2006 You are my clarity In the midst of confusion Giving me the ultimate infusion Of Tender Loving Care Like crystal things become clear Whenever you're around You are my "pick me up" Whenever I'm down Serenading me Just to "hear" me smile Although you're Many, many miles away I'm thankful For that blessed day That we connected I never ever expected This speedy progression I choose not the suppression Of what I feel But my true intent Is to keep it real with you At all times Truth is, I want you To be mine But the complexity Of this situation tears me The possiblity Of missed opportunities Scare me I'm not quite sure What to do I only know that I'm in love with you And that it's real And yet the reality is still A future with you unknown Feelings and emotions Continue to grow Whatever am I to do Even in the midst Of my confused mind It still rings true That you become my clarity Putting things in right priority That's what you do for me Piece by piece You set me free Allowing me to see A little clearer Forcing me to look closely In the mirror Addressing those things That restrain me Embracing those things That sustain me How could I not love you Not only for The things you do But especially for Who you are You are my shining star In the dark of the night You cause me To grow wings And take flight In the newness That only freedom brings You are my clarity When confusion Opens it's mouth to sing havoc Into my circumstances You make me Want to take chances And just follow my heart The joy of true freedom Is only the start Of real happiness So I must confess That in conclusion You are my clarity In the midst of confusion If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
