Musicians and Menstrels

Posted By: Micah Momient on December 26, 2006 One thing that I learned that will stick with me for the rest of my life is the difference between musicians and minstrels. Musicians practice, play, and perform depending on their skill but Minstrels practice, play, and perform depending on the prophetic flow of the Holy Spirit. We as musicians hava a very tedious ministry. We all must make sure that we are listening to what GOD is telling us and be ready to move and to flow in the direction to where He wants us to go. It's deep, but I am a witness of seeing musicians who are moved by the Holy Spirit. With minstrels, it is the same because during that era, this was a way of making money and being noticed by the majority public. They put their heart and soul into their performance.
