Monday Night HBCU Hoops Live on ESPN U Beginning Monday, January 8, SWAC Basketball games will be televised live every Monday night on ESPN U in a double header with the MEAC. Below is a schedule of the games. It all starts with Southern at Jackson State in a live women's and men's double header at 3:30pm and 6:00pm. Every other Monday night game will either be played at 6:00pm Central or 8:00 pm Central. In addition the SWAC Championship Rematch between Southern University and Arkansas Pine Bluff will be played live on ESPN 2 on Saturday Feb 10. It is VERY IMPORTANT that if you are able to attend the games that you go and show your support. We want to showcase our institutions and our fans in front of the national television audience. You don’t want the nation to see your team play in an empty arena!! If you can’t make the games be sure to watch and tell a friend. ESPN U is channel 609 on DirecTV and 148 on Dish Network and available on select cable systems. If you don’t have ESPN U, contact your local cable operator today.
