JOIN FORCES FOR MARKETING CAMPAIGN

Students Work With National Client to Gain Real World Experience

Normal, AL – Students of the spring 2007 Strategic Marketing course at Alabama A&M University, have rare opportunity to participate in a semester long internship with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). As a part of the FBI Collegiate Marketing and Recruitment Program, students will have the chance to execute their own marketing campaign while addressing the recruitment needs of the FBI.

During the semester, students will be creating a working marketing agency to research, develop, implement, and evaluate a campaign. With their budget of $2,500 to bring our campaign plans to life.

The goal of the campaign is to increase awareness and consideration of FBI career opportunities for the Special Agent and the Professional Staff positions.

The campaign is specifically targeted towards students possessing critical skills including: accounting/finance, engineering, computer science/information technology, physical sciences and math, intelligence experience, law experience, law enforcement or investigative experience, military experience, and fluency in a foreign language. By partnering with universities, the FBI is able to reach this target market because students are able to develop creative strategies to reach our peers.

The FBI Collegiate Marketing and Recruitment Program is designed to bridge the gap between industry and education, providing students with valuable, hands-on experience. The program is coordinated by EdVenture Partners, an education-marketing agency that designs unique industry-education partnerships at campuses around the United States. EdVenture Partners, in conjunction with the FBI, provides each student agency with the resources, and guidance necessary to design and implement their marketing agency.

Watch for more information about the FBI Collegiate Marketing and Recruitment Program at Alabama A&M University throughout the spring 2007 semester. For more information regarding the program, please contact Christopher Williams, Coordinator, at 773-398-8241.
