Why me?

Posted By: Jon C. on March 15, 2007 Why me? (Leader's Survival Guide #4) Why does it always seem that life's challenges always have to fall directly upon you? Why is it that others who are less deserving prosper, while people like you suffer? I was thinking about this the other day. Sometimes it seems like someone has it in for you... things always seem to go wrong at the worst possible time. We're tempted to ask, "why me"? Especially when we feel that we're good people, we try to make good choices, and have a strong mind. Maybe you have been selected to endure this, specifically because you can. Because you are one of the few who are able to do so. When going to war, the most valuable soldiers are not those who coasted through their careers on their laurels, but rather those who have been in enough battles to know what to do when it hits the fan. In short, you have been chosen to lead, and your strength is being developed and tested. There is no need to train or test someone incapable of leadership. Which is why not everyone is going through the things you are. If you feel that you are going through something too great to bear, be assured that someone somewhere sees greatness in you, and is taking the time to prepare you for what lies in your future. Few great people in history have said how easy it was to lead; nor told a story of how few difficulties they faced in life. Know that your story is being written now.
