Are we ready?

Posted By: clara atwater on May 02, 2007 Are we ready to go out and vote? P. Diddy had record numbers when it came to registering blacks to vote, but blacks didn't show up in those record numbers. So it leaves me to question are we ready for the next presidential election? I hope we are because for years I've had to sit back and watch as our government sunk to new lows as Bush was elected than re-elected without having a say. And although I'm ready to make a difference I wonder if we as blacks ready to show the real power we have we it comes to electing an official. Black people might be able to ready to go and vote if they actually educate themselves about the issues and think about them past their own blackness. But Black people can do it...I'm just wondering what we are waiting for...
