CHEYNEY, PA (EnvisionPR.com) – Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and Ephren W. Taylor II, America’s youngest African-American CEO of a publicly-traded company, are now accepting applications to the Ephren W. Taylor II Entrepreneurial Academy. This premiere academy will oversee summer camp programs that focus on wealth-building and interactive curriculum for high school students and college freshmen entering Cheyney University. High school students in Philadelphia (PA), Chester (PA), New York and Wilmington (DE)--grades 10-12, will attend the Entrepreneurial Leadership Camp from July 8-17, 2007. College freshmen will attend the Wealth Leadership Camp implemented through the academy from July 22-31, 2007.

In April 2007, Taylor presented Cheyney University with a check for $353,000 to create the specialized curriculum for high school and college-aged aspiring entrepreneurs. Serving as an international model for partnerships in high school and higher education programs, the Ephren W. Taylor II Entrepreneurial Academy will provide training, mentoring and an in-depth overview of entrepreneurship. Students will be exposed to the process of how to start, operate and thrive as business owners. Students will also gain knowledge of the impact small businesses have on the global economy. Facilitators of the camps will include Cheyney University faculty, popular media personalities and successful young business owners, including Taylor.

The ultimate goal of the academy is to equip students with the tools necessary to launch their journey towards entrepreneurship. A successful global entrepreneur himself, Taylor is eager to begin imparting knowledge on the students, as part of his commitment to empowering generations to follow in his footsteps. Taylor is a vision-driven wealth entrepreneur, inspirational speaker and corporate philanthropist. He is the CEO of City Capital Corporation (CCCN), which creates economically-sound, socially-conscious investments that give back to local communities, and create affordable homes for working class families nationwide. His companies currently manage over $150 million in assets and projects.

Students interested in applying for the academy should visit www.ascendantstrategy.net/taylor_academy. Aspiring entrepreneurs in the specified age classifications are encouraged to apply; final grade reports for the 2006-07 school year will be accepted if transcripts are not available. However, preference for admission will be shown to students who meet all application requirements. Applications will be accepted through June 12, 2007.
